Enhanced Methane Production by the Conductive Carbon-Nanotube Structures During Anaerobic Digestion of the Leachate from Food Wastes

Short Introductive summary

Anaerobic digestion (AD) has been commonly considered for the treatment of organic food wastes and their leachates and produced valuable energy sources such as methane. In this study, a direct interspecies electron transfer (DIET) using conductive carbon nanotube (CNTs) structures has been studied to accelerate the methane production rate and to increase the stability of the system.
