Anaerobic digestion (AD) has been commonly considered for the treatment of organic food wastes and their leachates and produced valuable energy sources such as methane. In this study, a direct interspecies electron transfer (DIET) using conductive carbon nanotube (CNTs) structures has been studied to accelerate the methane production rate and to increase the stability of the system.
